KU swim team wins dual at Rice

? Kansas University freshman Bryce Hinde helped earn three first-place finishes and set a pool record on Saturday as the KU swim team topped Rice, 166-132, in the Jayhawks’ first dual of the season.

Hinde broke the Rice Aquatics Center record in the 100 breaststroke, won the 200 breast and was part of the Jayhawks’ 200 medley relay victory.

Other KU champions were: Haley Molden (200 free), Alina Vats (100 back), Chelsie Miller (400 IM), Brooke Brull (200 back) and Deanna Marks (200 butterfly).

The Jayhawks open their home season against Minnesota on Oct. 20.
