Olathe ? Lawrence High took third place and Free State tied for eighth among 10 teams in the Olathe East girls golf invitational Wednesday at St. Andrews.

Quillen Eichhorn led LHS with an 86, good for a seventh-place tie. The Lions’ Abigail Schmidtberger and Free State’s Emily Bermel each shot 87 and tied for 10th.

Shawnee Mission East won with a 335 total, followed by Olathe Northwest with 346 and Lawrence High with 357. Free State and SM Northwest tied for eighth with 411.

The tournament also served as the final leg of the three-round Sunflower League tournament. LHS placed third in the league team race with 1,113 strokes. FSHS was eighth with 1,266.
