KU women’s basketball to make road debut at Creighton

The No. 22-ranked Kansas University women’s basketball team hits the road for the first time this season at 2 p.m. today at Creighton.

The Jayhawks (4-0) have started 5-0 the last two seasons. KU has won nine straight over the Bluejays, including last season, 73-59, at Allen Fieldhouse.

Though outscoring opponents this season by an average margin of 13.2 points, KU is shooting 39.1 percent from the field.

Creighton (2-1) returns four starters from a team that finished 20-13 last season and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

In the first three games of the season, Kansas’ Monica Engleman, Bunny Williams, Chelsea Gardner, Asia Boyd and CeCe Harper were shooting a combined 11-for-63 (.175) from the field. However, in the win over Alabama A&M, the Jayhawks quintet shot a combined 13-for-30 (.433).
