Only 30 on a football game weekend?

They met their quota at the first house, so they spent the rest of the night following up on real problems.

We seem to have all the resources we need when it comes to making sure other people are living the way the State has decided they should live. The Prohibition era really needs to end in Kansas.

Your lack of knowledge about the Prohibition era really needs to end.

Enlighten me. My impression is that is does not work, and tends rather to encourage actual criminal behavior ... think Al Capone and Mexican cartels. It is the same misguided and failed pattern, it seems. Teach me otherwise.

Without prohibition, how would we keep all the prisons up and running? I think you just hate prison guards and want to see them out of work.

Big B you realize this ABC activity of coming to Lawrence and almost no other city in the state has been going on for a bout 12 years? This was going on when we had a Democratic gov as well.

Would you feel the same way if they went after people who cheated on their taxes? Had garage sales every weekend? Booths at the Farmers market and not a one of them displaying a sales tax stamp? At least people who bought booze paid the taxes on it.

Some people at market do in fact display a tax stamp, and some have them and do not display them. No real point, other than if you don't have your facts straight, leave the farmers market out of it.

The Cave is the biggest underage bar in town, all you have to do is show an ID saying you are 18, and you can drink all you want.

Isn't it 21?

Nope. Cave went 18 and over this semester.

Thanks to the officers who helped to keep the streets safe for everyone. Those who are responsible appreciate them looking for those who are not and continue to get behind the wheel after abusing alcohol.

A 20 year old having a beer in a bar is not synonymous with drunk driving.

Where did I say it was?

Maybe you should put your comment somewhere else where it might actually have some relevance to the story.

My comment is very relative to the story. How can you possibly state otherwise? Just because I don't champion the cause of alcohol abuse doesn't mean my comment or opinion is off-topic.

I feel so much safer now that we are fighting underage drinking. If only we were as concerned about underage getting your legs blown off by an IED while fighting a war for your country.
We are a stupid nation..

This explains why I was getting scrutinized at Free State last night :P

Did they just walk in and start carding everyone?

Both universites should put a bar on campus enough to hold 2000. Keep $ on campus.
