Two people remained hospitalized Monday after a two-vehicle crash about 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Perry initially sent four people to area hospitals.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Amy J. Blacketer, 34, Leavenworth, was driving a 1994 Ford car north to cross U.S. Highway 24 onto Ferguson Road when she failed to yield to a westbound 1997 Dodge Caravan and the two collided.
Blacketer was treated and later released at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center, Topeka. Her passenger, Joshua D. Goff, 26, Leavenworth, was taken to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., where spokesman Bob Hallinan said on Monday a condition update was not available.
The occupants of the caravan, Gary W. Kraus, 66, and Susan L. Kraus, 67, both of Grantville, also were taken to Stormont-Vail. Gary Kraus was released, and Susan Kraus was in fair condition Monday, a hospital spokeswoman said. All four people involved wore seat belts.

You are correct. We called the KHP, and they have since changed the date on their crash log. We are updating the story.

No reason for this to be a dangerous intersection. You can see a long ways both East and West. People just don't pay attention when they cross 24 highway apparently ????

Her son Adam, a Perry grad who is now with the University of Hawaii, is an astronomer recently credited with discovering a new protoplanet. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
