An 18-year-old female Kansas University student reported to KU police Wednesday that someone entered her apartment at Jayhawker Towers and stole a $1,200 laptop computer. Maj. Chris Keary, assistant KU police chief, said the woman alleged the laptop was stolen between 10:10 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. Wednesday. She believed the door was locked when she left her apartment, and when she returned later the door was open.
