KU track competes in Arkansas Twilight

? Kansas University’s Iain Trimble (210-7) and Dan Hitman (206-7) placed second and fourth respectively in the javelin at Friday’s Arkansas Twilight meet.

KU’s Francine Simpson (11.6) and Andrea Geubelle (11.67) were second and third in the 100. Timmie Morris was third in the 400 hurdles (1:02.17). Taylor Washington (53.54) and Kyle Clemons (46.83) each placed fourth in the 400.

Clemons, Mike Hester, Michael Stigler and Kenneth McCuin won the 1,600 relay in 3:07.99. Other Jayhawks notching personal bests were freshmen Lindsay Vollmer in the shot put (12.37m), Sara Seiwald in the 1,500 meters (4:48.32) and Kellum Schneider in the 800 meters (1:58.60).

KU will compete at the Big 12 Outdoor meet May 11-13 in Manhattan.
