Overland Park ? Addison Campbell and Meredith Warinner scored first-half goals, and Lawrence High’s girls soccer team defeated Shawnee Mission North, 2-0, on Tuesday night.

Goaltender Alex Ewy recorded the shutout.

“We did a lot of the small things right, and that made the difference in the game,” LHS coach Janna Kepler said. “It was nothing fancy. It just seemed to go our way this time.”

The Lions (2-11) will play at Free State at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

LHS played SM North to a 1-all tie in Tuesday’s junior varsity game. Cortlynn Stark scored for the Lions, and Lindsy Herd had an assist.
