A man reported that he was attacked early Thursday in the 800 block of Massachusetts Street. A man said that shortly after midnight he was attacked by unknown suspects who stole money from his front pockets.

The man showed up at a business in the area with one shoe and an injury to his mouth, said Kim Murphree, a Lawrence police spokeswoman. The man could not remember exactly where the incidents occurred and police searched the area but did not find any suspects, she said.
