Black Hills Energy customers who are having trouble covering their winter heating bill have until March 31 to take advantage of Kansas Cold Weather Rule.

From Nov. 1 to March 31, Black Hills offers special payment plans to customers in need and won’t cut off service for unpaid bills when temperatures turn cold. Those options expire April 1.
