Firefighters with Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical responded Monday afternoon to a small structure fire at an abandoned building at 740 N. Second St. in North Lawrence, said Fire Medical Division Chief Lyle Schwartz.

Firefighters arrived on the scene at 5:07 p.m. and had cleared the scene at 5:37 p.m. A cause has not been determined for the small fire, which caused minimal damage, Schwartz said. No one was injured in the incident.
