Charges dismissed in domestic dispute

Douglas County prosecutors Friday dismissed aggravated battery and criminal threat charges against a 24-year-old Lawrence man in connection with a January domestic dispute. Dustin A. Johnson was accused of knocking his girlfriend to the ground during an argument on Jan. 3 at a Lawrence apartment. She got away from Johnson, left the apartment and called police. But Cheryl Wright, a spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office, said the victim did not appear in court Friday, so prosecutors asked the judge to dismiss the case.
