Thieves take items from three vehicles on KU campus over weekend

Three vehicle burglaries involving broken windows were reported on the Kansas University campus over the weekend.

According to KU police reports, two of burglaries occurred between Friday evening and Saturday morning.

The first was reported in lot No. 101 in the 1500 block of Engel Road east of Templin Hall. The thief removed $260 worth of CDs, sunglasses and gift cards after breaking the window. The second burglary occurred in lot No. 112 north of Oliver Hall in the 1800 block of Naismith Drive. The thief took $227 worth of items, including a GPS device, sunglasses and an iPod.

In the third burglary the thief smashed a vehicle’s window and stole items from inside. It occurred between 7 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Sunnyside Drive. The damage and loss was reported as $1,700.
