Injured man found behind Lawrence Home Depot now in stable condition

A 46-year-old Lawrence man’s condition has stabilized after he was found Sunday afternoon with head and facial injuries behind Home Depot, 1910 W. 31st St., Lawrence police Sgt. Trent McKinley said Wednesday morning.

He was flown to a Kansas City area hospital, and he was initially in critical condition, police said.

McKinley said police were still waiting to interview the man. Officers are conducting an ongoing investigation because they believe he was injured after a fight with a 24-year-old Lawrence man. No arrests have been made.
