Recent Free State High graduate Sam O’Brien will represent Kansas in the 12th annual Mo-Kan Softball All-Star Series.

O’Brien, a senior shortstop for the Firebirds this past spring, was one of 16 seniors selected to play on the Kansas side against Missouri.

The best-of-three series begins at 5 p.m., Monday, June 11 at the Shawnee Mission School District Softball Complex.

FSHS softball coach Lee Ice will serve as an assistant coach for Kansas.

Kansas has a 7-4 record against Missouri in the annual softball series.
