A 16-year-old girl was injured Thursday morning after her vehicle rear-ended another vehicle in the 200 block of North Iowa Street.

Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence police spokesman, said Ellen Grace Williams was traveling south on North Iowa Street when her vehicle ran into another southbound vehicle that was waiting to turn left into a private parking lot. Williams was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital by ambulance for a head injury, McKinley said.
