KU hires director of multicultural affairs

Kansas University has hired an administrator from Colorado State University to serve as its next director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

Blaine Harding has served for the previous decade as director of advising, recruitment and retention for CSU’s College of Liberal Arts and as the university’s pre-law adviser. He started in his new role at KU on July 2.

He has a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary communication from the State University of New York at Brockport and a master’s degree in 19th century American history from Colorado State.

The multicultural affairs office provides academic support, diversity education, and other programs and activities at KU and the surrounding community.
