Will the folks who use gadgets to zip through advertisements sit still for “The CLIOs: World’s Best Commercials” (7 p.m., NBC)? JB Smoove hosts this collection of standouts from around the world.

Many celebrities who find it beneath them to appear in American commercials accept big paychecks to appear in ads overseas. That was the premise for Bill Murray’s character in the acclaimed 2003 film “Lost in Translation.” Look for Jason Bateman, Kevin Bacon and Will Arnett, among others, touting products that may seem anything but familiar.

• “Jimmy Fallon’s Primetime Music Special” (9 p.m., NBC) covers the best musical bits and collaborations he’s done on his late night show with celebrity guests, including Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen and Carly Rae Jepsen. The late night host also offers original songs and musical impersonations, such as his take on Neil Young singing “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”

• With the eyes of the world turning toward London for the Summer Games, “Absolutely Fabulous: Olympics Special” (9 p.m., BBC America) offers a satirical look at the natives’ view of the games, an event some see as a celebration and others as an intrusive bother.

As “Ab Fab” begins, Eddy (Jennifer Saunders) has rented out her flat to a Hollywood A-lister. But she’s refused to leave, as have Eddy’s moocher friend Patsy (Joanna Lumley), her daughter (Julia Sawalha), her mother (June Whitfield) and her assistant Bubble (Jane Horrocks).

• A more sober view of the Olympics unfolds on “Going for Gold — The ’48 Games” (7 p.m., BBC America), a historical drama about two sculling partners, drawn from different strata of British postwar society, who have only six weeks to prepare for the biggest race of their lives.
