Man, 20, sentenced to 1 year probation for role in Eudora burglaries

A 20-year-old man was sentenced to serve one year on probation Tuesday for his role in a string of Eudora burglaries last year.

District Judge Kay Huff ordered Joseph L. Klebenstein to serve 14 months in prison if he’s found to violate terms of his probation. Klebenstein was given credit for 44 days in jail he’s already served, and he must pay restitution.

He pleaded no contest in November to burglary of a motor vehicle and two counts of theft less than $1,000 as he was accused of helping a Eudora couple with the burglaries last June. Klebenstein faces a second case in which he’s accused of taking part in November burglary of Tobacco Mart, 1420 W. 23rd St.
