Chili feed to support youth programs
The Breakfast Optimist Club is holding a chili feed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 12 at the American Legion hall, 3408 W. Sixth St.
Proceeds will help support 25 youth programs, including the Boys and Girls Club, American Legion baseball and purchasing dictionaries for all fourth-grade students in Lawrence and Eudora.
Donations of $6 per adult and $3 per child between ages 6 and 12 will be collected at the event. Children 5 and younger can eat for free.
