Free State girls win Leavenworth quad

? Free State’s Emily Reno bowled a high game of 200 and a high series of 529, and the FSHS girls bowling team won a quadrangular tournament Wednesday at Crown Lanes.

The Firebirds totaled 1,820 pins to outscore Leavenworth (1,585), Blue Valley (1,477) and Blue Valley West (1,310).

Reno also rolled a 198 during her 529 series. She was followed by Haley Hanson with a 438 and Meredith Baker with a 416.

Free State finished second to Leavenworth in the two-team boys competition. Nate Fiester led the Firebirds with a 573 series, which included a 247 game. Kyle Hall had a 528 series, and Chase Taylor bowled a 526 series.
