How To Help: Club seeks volunteer to help create YouTube video

Agency: Boys and Girls Club

Contact: Zachary Hall at 785-841-5672 or volunteer@bgclk.org

The Boys and Girls Club is looking for volunteers to help it create a fun YouTube video that will feature club kids telling President Barack Obama why they’d like him to come to their Feb. 6 Youth of the Year Celebration.

Letters have been written, and contacts have been made, but the Boys and Girls Club would like to add a social media component to their appeal to the president.

This project will require someone who is free between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. for a few days during the week of Jan. 7.

Volunteers need to have their own video camera and computer to minimally edit and upload a three- to four-minute video for YouTube.

Club kids will be filmed at the Boys and Girls Club Teen Site and two to three of the elementary school sites throughout the week.

Additionally, a volunteer who has some creative ideas on content and how to make the video fun and energetic would be much appreciated! If this sounds like a fun, short-term project to you, please contact Zachary Hall at 785-841-5672 or volunteer@bgclk.org.
