A 31-year-old Lawrence man was injured early Sunday morning after he struck a curb and then a tree with his motorcycle in the 1600 block of West Third Street.

Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence police spokesman, said Quinton T. Gaultney was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for head and skin abrasions in the crash, which occurred about 12:40 a.m. Sunday. He was not wearing a helmet.
