22-year-old Lawrence man enters no-contest plea in aggravated burglary case

A 22-year-old Lawrence man pleaded no contest to aggravated burglary Wednesday after he was accused of stealing money from an apartment on Feb. 19.

According to court records, in exchange for the plea, prosecutors dismissed a possession of stolen property count he faced. According to a police report in the case, a 21-year-old female Kansas University student reported to Lawrence police Feb. 19 that someone had entered her apartment in the 1400 block of Coventry Manor just before 7 a.m. and stole $18. Kevin Bernard Booker was arrested in the area. District Judge Kay Huff is scheduled to sentence him Sept. 24.
