Earth Day

To the editor:

We should celebrate Earth Day, April 22.

Let us rededicate ourselves to greatly reducing air, water and soil pollution in order to save the Earth’s environment.

  1. Let us use more mass transportation and drive gasoline-fueled, air-polluting cars less.

  2. Let us keep sewage and manufacturing waste out of lakes and rivers.

  3. Let us protect wildlife and provide numerous parks and nature preserves for it.

  4. Let us reduce the use of polluting pesticides on crops.

  5. Let us develop more water, wind and solar power.

This is the only Earth we have. Let’s make it livable.
