Prairie Village ? Free State swimmer Courtney Caldwell placed first in the 100 free and 200 backstroke, but the FSHS girls swimming and diving team lost a dual to Shawnee Mission East on Tuesday at SME.

The Lancers won their home meet with 112 points. The Firebirds scored 64 points.

Caldwell qualified for state with her two winning times. Free State divers Brook Leslie (second place), Jacqueline Zaitz (third place) and Annie Soderberg (fourth place) also qualified to compete at the state meet.
