Olathe NW baseball rocks Free State, 13-3

? Olathe Northwest’s baseball team broke open a close game with 11 runs in the final two innings and defeated Free State, 13-3, on Thursday night.

“In the fourth, we were down 2-0, and they got a two-out grand slam from the nine-hole,” FSHS coach Mike Hill said. “Things just got away from us. There are still positives. The kids are giving a great effort.”

J.D. Prochaska doubled, and Joel Spain and Ryan Cantrell each drove in a run for Free State (1-6).

The Firebirds will take on Shawnee Mission West on Tuesday in Overland Park.
