Motorcycle accident spurs life-flight in Franklin County

Two people were transported to Kansas City hospitals after a motorcycle-involved accident in Franklin County Monday night.

The accident occurred on Kansas Highway 68 at about 8:45 p.m. A motorcycle hit a deer and then a car hit the motorcycle, said Sgt. Jason Bryan of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

The motorcycle’s driver was life-flighted from the scene. The passenger was transported by ambulance. The driver of the car was not hurt, Bryan said.

Names were not released as of about 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.
