LHS volleyball goes 2-1 at quad

? Lawrence High’s volleyball team began its season going 2-1 at Shawnee Mission West on Thursday.

The Lions fell to Olathe Northwest (17-25, 9-25), but came back to beat Shawnee Mission West (25-20, 25-21) and Shawnee Mission South (17-25, 25-15, 25-12).

“It was our first time out, and we had a lot of jitters going into it,” LHS coach Stephanie Magnuson said. “It’s a young season, a new team from last year, and hopefully we just keep moving up.”
