Eudora big winner, 28-14

? Eudora High clinched the Class 4A District 4 football title, the outright Frontier League championship and a 28-14 victory over Baldwin on a fourth-quarter touchdown run Thursday by Chris Pyle, who rushed for 163 yards on 17 carries.

Eudora (8-1) will host De Soto (6-3) in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs Tuesday night.

Pyle scored two touchdowns, including a 57-yard run that opened the scoring in the first quarter.

Gabe Cleveland rushed for 143 yards on 14 carries for Eudora.

Eudora won, 8-0, at De Soto in their league meeting with the Wildcats on Sept. 23. De Soto defeated St. James, 41-34, Thursday night to place second in District 3.

District runner-up Baldwin (6-3) will travel to Blue Valley Southwest (4-5) Tuesday.

Basehor-Linwood 35, Perry-Lecompton 28

Perry — Perry-Lecompton led early and late, but Basehor scored a touchdown and go-ahead two-point conversion with 3:16 to go to remain undefeated.

Luke Kellum had 28 carries for 134 yards and three touchdowns, and Jeremy Immenschuh had 15 carries for 141 yards and another score for the Kaws. Immenschuh also completed 10 of 17 passes for 103 yards.

Perry (7-2 overall, 2-1 district) will travel Tuesday to Kansas City Piper. Basehor (9-0, 3-0) will host Hiawatha.

Wellsville completed an undefeated regular season behind Jesse LaMay’s 197 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries against West Franklin.

Wellsville (9-0), Class 3A District 4 champs, will host Frontenac (5-4) Tuesday in the first round of the state playoffs.
