Two 16-year-old boys were apprehended by Lawrence Police Department officers after a foot pursuit Thursday evening. Officers were called at 4:55 p.m. to the intersection of 27th and Iowa Streets after a report of a car burglary, said Sgt. Trent McKinley. When officers approached the boys, they fled on foot. They were later caught and found to be in possession of several items that had been stolen. McKinley said the boys are being held at an area juvenile detention facility.
