Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical was dispatched to 2400 Alabama Street at 1:50 p.m. Friday for a fire in one of the building’s apartments. The fire was declared under control at 2:55 p.m. and no one was injured, according to a media release from Fire Medical.
