University Bridge Club announces results of its Oct. 1 meeting with hosts John and Willi Stark.

Blue winners: Al Smith, first; Alice Akin, second; Tom Waller, third; Harold Riehm, fourth; and Roz Zimmerer, fifth.

Pink winners: Carol Smith, first; Karen Zimmerer, second; Hazel Stellmacher, third; Rhetta Jo Noever, fourth; and Jan Roberts, fifth.

The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Sept. 28 was directed by Chris Lane. North-South winners were Dianne Childs and Judy Hildreth, first in A; Lester Dalton and Mary Fenlon, second in A; Lois Clark and Mona Bell, third in A and first in B; Jack Flickinger and Marilyn Martin, second in B and first in C; and Margrete Hartman and Albert Ballard, second in C.

East-West winners were Paul Heitzman and David Piro, first in A; Bobby Patton and Virginia Seaver, second in A; Eldon Herd and Shari Krentzel, third in A; Dick Shaffer and Angie Davidson, first in B and C; and Yvonne Hedges and Sally Taylor, second in B.

The Thursday Morning Mentor Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Sept. 29 was directed by Chris Lane. Winners were Deronda Ashley and Virginia Seaver, first; Melessa Moore and Lester Dalton tied in second with Wayne Tindall and Gary Joyce; and Chris Lane and Mary Locniskar, fourth.

The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Sept. 30 was directed by Chris Lane. North-South winners were Steven Vossler and Larry Weatherholt, first in A; Jolene Andersen and Emily Foster, second in A and first in B; Lester Dalton and Mary Fenlon, third in A; and Sally Taylor and Carol Ball, second in B.

East-West winners were Ed Howard and Mark Osborn, first in A; David Piro and Paul Heitzman, second in A; Eldon Herd and Shari Krentzel, third in A; Bobby Patton and Mona Bell, first in B; Catherine Blumenfeld and Lois Clark, second in B; and Marilyn Martin and Barbara McCorkle, first in C.

The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Oct. 3 was directed by Virginia Seaver. The game utilized the Howell movement and handicapped the teams. Winners were Ed Howard and Vince Nordberg, first; Jolene Andersen and Albert Ballard, second; Steven Vossler and James Masilamani tied in third with Grant Sutton and John Hickey; and Chris Lane and Virginia Seaver, fifth.
