A local gem

To the editor:

While watching Channel 6’s “Home and Away” program Sunday evening on the Lawrence homeless shelter we were reminded that we really have a gem here in Loring Henderson. Over the years we have watched and heard about the shelter’s problems and have been impressed with Loring’s leadership.

Loring, I am sure that at times you feel you are in a thankless and frustrating job, but believe us, many people here in the community really appreciate all you do. Keep up the good work and God bless. For all those reading this, we hope you are supporting Loring’s efforts on the new shelter.
