CNN’s Candy Crowley selected for annual William Allen White citation

Candy Crowley, CNN’s chief political correspondent and anchor of State of the Union with Candy Crowley, is the recipient of the 2012 William Allen White National Citation, and will deliver a speech at Kansas University on Feb. 10 when she accepts the award.

Crowley has covered presidential, congressional and gubernatorial races and major developments on Capitol Hill for the cable news network.

The William Allen White citation has been given annually by the William Allen White Foundation’s trustees since 1950. Previous recipients include columnist George Will, reporter Bob Woodward and television anchor Jim Lehrer.
