Douglas County prosecutors Tuesday filed charges of attempted aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated sexual battery against a 58-year-old Lawrence man after he was arrested early Saturday, according to court records.

Lawrence police say they were called to the 1600 block of Haskell Avenue just after midnight Saturday where they interviewed the suspect and victim, a 30-year-old Lawrence woman, before they arrested the man. No physical injuries were reported, prosecutors said.

A judge on Saturday had set the man’s bond at $20,000 in the case, and he appeared again before a Douglas County judge Tuesday afternoon.
