Officials say man in triple-fatality crash on Interstate 70 in Ellsworth County was drunk

? The Kansas Highway Patrol says a Texas man who drove the wrong way on Interstate 70, causing an accident that killed him and two Wichita residents, was drunk.

The patrol says 27-year-old Joseph Pena, of Corpus Christi, had a blood-alcohol level of .213 when his car hit another car on March 23 near Wilson in Ellsworth County. The legal limit is .08.

The Wichita Eagle reports that the accident killed 20-year-old Kylie Jobe and 22-year-old Kyle Thornburg, who were returning from a ski trip in Colorado.

Pena also died in the crash.
