Manhattan ? Riley County police say a man died after he fell to the ground when he was getting out of a car and the driver drove away.

Police say in a news release they have not determined if the death on Tuesday of 32-year-old Rodney Vicente of Manhattan will be a fatality accident or vehicular homicide.

A witness told police that a car stopped in front of a vehicle and a man started to get out. The driver drove away, knocking Vicente to the ground. Police found him unresponsive. He died later of a major head injury.

Police say the driver has been identified and knew Vincente. KMAN reports that no one has been arrested.
