Lawrence police arrest Kansas City man on aggravated battery, battery, criminal trespassing charges

Lawrence police Monday morning arrested a 45-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man in the 2400 block of Louisiana Street on charges of aggravated battery, battery and criminal trespassing. Police were initially called to the area at 9 a.m. for a domestic disturbance. According to Sgt. Damon Thomas, the man had threatened his girlfriend Monday. Officers later found he had cut her in the chest with a knife and bit her on the face “a few days prior.”
