FS played a much better game starting in 1st half when they went ahead 3-2. The second half was played to FS's game and produced a 4-0 score. FS had better skill and weren't as fatigued as Olathe North.

Now, why doesn't Channel 6 broadcast the first round game of the playoffs as the game of the week? Free State will be hosting. It might be against Lawrence High. Can't tell for sure at the moment, but why not a soccer game with a team that has now tied the most wins for a season in school history?

Guess we'll have to be satisfied with another softball or baseball production. There are more participants in soccer than either sport at Free State.

Because its soccer....because its girls soccer.

I'm just hoping for decent coverage for both schools for Senior night.

Maybe broadcast the game against BVSW. That game has some intrigue with the former coach bringing in his team to play against his former team.

Coach Pendleton watched 35 minutes of the 1st half scouting. His team is 10-3 having lost to only Aquinas, Blue Valley Northwest and Blue Valley West. That game will be crucial for Free State because it may determine whether Free State is #2, #3 or #4 in the Central Region.

Free State's schedule has been full of 5A schools this year...but this is not one of "those" schools that is going to pad our record. BVSW is young, but good. Just like FS.

I wouldn't put down 5A schools. Free State has played Lansing (8-5-1), Shawnee Heights (8-5), Gardner-Edgerton (0-9), Topeka (3-6) and BVSW (10-3). GE is a near 6A and Topeka is. Shawnee Heights defeated Washburn Rural earlier in the year. And, Washburn Rural might sneak ahead of Free State in regional placement.

The GE series has been going on for 4-5 years. Topeka series has been going for years. Shawnee Heights series goes back at least a decade. Lansing has been played for 4 years or so. Only Blue Valley SW is a new opponent. That was to set up a game with Coach Pendleton's team. Yes, it is interesting.
