Prairie Moon Waldorf School holding May Music Festival
Prairie Moon Waldorf School is hosting a May Music Festival Saturday, and the public’s invited.
All events take place at the school, which is the former Grant School, 1853 E. 1600 Rd. Tickets are $10 for adults; children 12 and younger will be admitted at no charge. Organizers suggest you take chairs, blankets and kites.
Here’s the schedule:
- 11 a.m-11:45 a.m.: Maypole song and dance performed by Prairie Moon students, followed by student performances.
- 11:50 a.m.: Presentation of the 2011 Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education Green School Award.
- Noon-12:45 p.m.: Performances by musicians from the Prairie Moon community including Lana Maree and Bekah Zachritz.
- 1 p.m.-1:45 p.m. Hell in the Holler.
- 2 p.m.-2:45 p.m. Connie Dover.
- 3 p.m.-3:45 p.m. The Sunflower Colonels.
