The first candidate for the dean of Kansas University’s School of Business will participate in an open forum next week at the school.

Ali R. Malekzadeh is the dean of the Williams College of Business at Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio. Malekzadeh will meet with faculty, staff and students in a public forum from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday in 3140 Wescoe Hall.

He has served as dean at Xavier since 2003. Before that, he also served as dean of the G.R. Herberger College of Business at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn.

University officials would not say how many finalists for the position would be announced.
