A 34-year-old Lawrence man reported to Lawrence police Tuesday morning that two laptop computers and a Sony video camera were stolen from his vehicle overnight in the 1400 block of Chelsea Place, near Crestline Drive and Bob Billings Parkway. The auto burglary occurred between 10:30 p.m. Monday and 5 a.m. Tuesday. The total value of property taken was $3,180, including a $2,000 Dell laptop computer owned by Kansas University, where the victim is employed.
