Ft. Riley woman charged in baby’s death

? A federal grand jury in Kansas City, Kan., has indicted a 22-year-old Fort Riley woman is charged with being an accessory after the fact to the murder of her eight-week-old son.

U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said in a release Thursday that Erika Suzanne Pierret Frey is in custody in Mississippi and is expected to be returned to Kansas.

She was originally charged in a criminal complaint filed June 3. The complaint said that on April 25, emergency crews were called to Frey’s home at Fort Riley where they found an eight-week-old boy who was not responsive. The boy was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Frey’s husband, 21-year-old Justin Frey, was arrested earlier this month in Mississippi on a warrant for the boy’s murder.
