Chad Ford rethinking Josh Selby to Knicks pick

Chad Ford of ESPN.com still has former KU guard Josh Selby being taken No. 17 overall by the New York Knicks in the June 23 draft. Yet in a June 10 blog, Ford wavered just a bit.

“Sources say Selby struggled a bit in his first workout (in New York) — so much so that the Knicks have asked him back for a second workout. Selby may not be the lock I thought he was to go to New York.”

In fact, Ford wrote that he wouldn’t be surprised if New York takes KU’s Markieff Morris.

Selby, by the way, had to sit out his Washington Wizards workout last week because of a quad injury. It’s been reported that the Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony, who is a friend/mentor of Selby, is pushing for the team to take the ex-Jayhawk combo guard.
