Topeka ? Sixty people in Kansas are facing federal drug trafficking charges in five separate indictments that were unsealed after several arrest warrants were served.

Prosecutors said Wednesday that 42 of those charged have been arrested. All 60 are charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, while four are charged with distribution of meth and three are charged with possession with the intent to distribute the drug.

All of the crimes are alleged to have occurred in Kansas between Nov. 1, 2009, and May 31 of this year.

The indictments are the result of two investigations led by the Drug Enforcement Administration with help from the Topeka Police Department and Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
