A 46-year-old Garnett woman was injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident about nine miles south of Ottawa on U.S. Highway 59.

Barbara G. Freeman was injured and taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center after her 2002 Chevrolet truck rear-ended a 1998 freight truck pulling a trailer that had stopped and was signaling to turn left onto Douglas Road from the highway, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The truck’s driver, Heath J. Feuerborn, 29, of Kincaid, was not injured. Both drivers wore seat belts.
