Sedgwick County authorities say a Wichita man drowned while swimming with friends at a private lake near Wichita.

Sheriff’s Lt. Jason Gill says the man, 20-year-old Phillip S. Green, was with a group of friends at the lake who decided to go for a swim Wednesday night.

Green began struggling during the swim. He was pulled to shore and friends performed CPR but he died later at a hospital.
