West whacks East in Kansas Shrine Bowl

? Norton Community High’s Terrell Lane had 15 rushes for 104 yards and a touchdown as the West routed the East, 30-7, in the Kansas Shrine Bowl all-star game for recent high school grads on Saturday.

The East was shut out until a long fumble-return-TD in the fourth quarter.

Free State quarterback Dylan Perry, the only city representative in the game, was credited with one carry for zero yards for the East.

The West had 19 first downs to the East’s six and outrushed the East, 350 yards to seven.
