ABC reviews first movie of ‘Potter’ series

ABC invites every Harry Potter fan who isn’t out at the multiplex watching the new Harry Potter movie to return to the beginning with the 2001 fantasy “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (7 p.m., ABC). Elsewhere in the ABC/Disney firmament, you can catch another franchised favorite, “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” (7 p.m., ABC Family).

Tonight’s other highlights

• Josie returns on “Outcasts” (8 p.m., BBC America).

• A creepy security guard stalks a woman in an empty parking lot — on Christmas Eve, no less — in the 2007 shocker “P2” (8 p.m., Syfy).

• Jack Whitehall, Adele, Camilla and Nico, and Miranda Hart appear on “The Graham Norton Show” (9 p.m., BBC America).

• Amy Poehler hosts “Saturday Night Live” (10:30 p.m., NBC), featuring musical guest Katy Perry.

Cult choice

• Celebrate Christmas in July! Will Ferrell’s wide-eyed innocent act lends itself nicely to “Elf” (8 p.m., Bravo), the 2003 comedy directed by Jon Favreau.
